Young Farmers

Chairman: Brandie Denard

Jefferson County Young Farmers connects people who care about agriculture and want to help shape its future. Through the Alabama Farmers Federation, members build leadership skills, learn from one another, and serve their communities.

Learn and Connect

Meetings and educational activities give members opportunities to share ideas, build relationships, and learn about farming, agribusiness, and issues affecting agriculture.

Lead and Advocate

Young Farmers helps the next generation develop a voice in agricultural policy and community leadership. Members gain experience through Federation activities, agricultural advocacy, and opportunities to represent local farmers.

Serve Our Community

Supporting agricultural education is part of our local work. In 2026, Jefferson County Young Farmers completed an elementary school service project, improving chicken coops and garden beds used for student learning.
