Who We Are
The Jefferson County Farmers Federation is a grassroots organization made up of local farmers, farm families, and community members who care about the future of agriculture in Jefferson County. As one of Alabama’s independent county Farmers Federations affiliated with the Alabama Farmers Federation, we help carry local voices into the statewide organization while serving needs close to home.
Our Mission
“To support and advance agriculture in the state of Alabama through education and research; increase awareness of agriculture in Alabama through public programs and activities; improve and expand agriculture services and products for the benefit of all citizens; and to establish and maintain high standards in agriculture.”
Our Purpose in Jefferson County
Our purpose begins with farm families. We listen to their concerns, support practical solutions, encourage educational and economic opportunity, and advocate for the agricultural interests of Jefferson County and Alabama.
Through agricultural education, leadership development, scholarships, public outreach, and community involvement, we work to promote agriculture, educate our neighbors, and help farming remain a strong part of Jefferson County’s future.
