The Jefferson County Women's Leadership Committee hosted the annual cook-off on April 13, 2019 at the Kimberly Senior Citizen Center. This year the category was non sweet dairy based dips. We had delicious entries, as always, and our judges had their work “cut out” for them. After much deliberation and tastings by our judges, the winners were decided. First place went to Polly McClure with her sun-dried tomato and pesto dip. Taking second place was Joann Wissinger and her baked cheese dip. Third place went to Laurie Morris with her Reuben dip. Our first place winner will go on to compete at the state level later this year. All the entries we outstanding and delicious!
The ladies also held their business meeting while the judges were doing their tasting. After the meeting, the board was invited to have dinner too. Our caterer for the evening was Two Fat Men Catering, Inc. It was a very successful night full of planning and brainstorming.
