Recently some of our Board members and Women's Committee ladies met with Riverchase Elementary School 5th graders for a time to learn more about agriculture and it's many possibilities. A short film was played describing some of the many areas of agriculture that you can research. The “sky is the limit!” There are so many possibilities with agriculture from careers like scientists and veterinarians, to jobs like loggers and even lawyers. Of course, becoming a farmer is always an option too. We also had a question and answer time to address all the burning questions anyone had. Before it was over, our good friend Paul DeMarco stopped by to hear the presentation too.
The kids received hand-outs with vital information and fun learning projects included in their bags to take home.
